The island which covers around 50 hectares has been granted tourist use in the Maldives. Villa ownership will be on the basis of right of use for the duration of the lease of the island by Soneva Resorts and the Maldivian government. Any future lease extensions for the island will be passed on to the buyer, at 2% of their total cost.
The market perceived added value of extending each villa’s lease is a great deal higher than the actual cost to the owners. Villa owners and their families and friends will be free to use their villa for as many days as they desire. Every villa owner will have the right to a profit share should you decide to have Soneva Resorts rent out your villa while not in residence.
